News Updates for Dieppe Raid 2023

2nd June 2023

The last date for registering for this years Dieppe Raid is 10th June so only 8 days away! Please check with your fellow cycling friends to make sure they have registered so they don't miss out.

15th May 2023

We have now reached the 200 rider mark (201 to be exact)!  And the wheels of preparation for the event are starting to turn.  Club Des Cyclotouristes Dieppois expect the official go-ahead any day from the Prefecture (like a County Council) on using the roads.  DFDS is counting up the bikes going into the hold (I think). And people are starting to ask  “Is it too late for our cyclist friends to sign up”?

The answer is a resounding NO!

It is NOT too late for your friends and your cycling club members to sign up.  We will “officially” end registration on 10 June which is also the date after which we can no longer refund cancellations. So between now and then there is time - but don’t tarry because hotel rooms get booked up.

And don’t forget our Sunday evening buffet dinner at “Novick’s Stadium” sports bar from 19h to 21h. We will have the first floor and mezzanine areas reserved for us. And there will be vegetarian dishes (in contrast to last year at the Hotel Casino). Note that If you have already booked for a Ride Only you will have to rebook for the Ride plus Dinner and we’ll refund you the £10 of the Ride Only booking (sorry, that’s how Eventbrite works).

This could be the news you've all been waiting for ... there are plans afoot for the Dieppe Raid to go ahead next year on the weekend of 24th/25th June. Will Faas of Sussex Nomads is leading the team. He is currently liaising with Dieppe CDC regarding the arrangements. More information will become available over the next few weeks but we all know how important it is to pencil the date into your diaries. Watch this space!
